Sydney, AustraliaI'm a Senior Manager of Underwriting Analytics at TAL – Daiichi Life Group, where I turn raw data into actionable insights using machine learning and AI. Before TAL, I was a Senior Manager at AIA and a Lead Data Scientist at Colonial First State.
My work sits at the intersection of data analytics, machine learning, and automation, mostly in insurance and superannuation. I care about building solutions that hold up in production, not just in a notebook - things like machine learning models that perform quality assurance on underwriting decisions, and continuous monitoring systems for customer churn risk.
Earlier in my career, I was a Research Fellow in Data Science at UTS, leading industry‑funded research with partners including CommBank, NSW Health, and OnePath. I hold a PhD in Machine Learning from Deakin University.
